CCA Andratx is delighted to host the first solo-exhibition with artist Anna Nero (DE, 1988). Do you believe in goats? will present the artist’s new paintings created during her stay at CCA Studios in May 2023. Nero’s work deals with different modalities of painting and the possibilities of image-making and representation. In her process, she constantly crosses paths between strict and sleek geometrical forms and bold, playful brush strokes. Those two are the poles between which her paintings oscillate – constructed and intuitive, strict and playful.

As part of the CCA Artist-in-Residence Program, four talented artists are invited to live and work during one month at the CCA Studios. During September, we are delighted to host the artists Frauke Dannert (DE, 1979), Gelare Khoshgozaran (IR, 1986), Bianca Pedrina (CH, 1985) and Andreas Werner (DE, 1984).

We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to you for our upcoming OPEN STUDIOS event as part of our renowned Artist-in-Residence Program. This monthly event is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself into the creativity generated at the CCA Studios and witness the artistic process firsthand, as you engage with the 4 talented artists we are hosting during this month.

On the occasion of the Nit de l'Art 2023 we are pleased to announce the collaboration between CCA Andratx and Hotel Sant Francesc presenting the project Cosmic Dance by Danish artist Lin Utzon.

Cosmic Dance is based on Utzon's research into the use of traditional Mallorcan ceramics, which are adapted to build large-scale installations, based on the experience developed with the ceramist Pere Coll in Pòrtol on siurells (clay figures with a whistle attached, traditionally made in Mallorca since time immemorial), as well as with large-format paintings and photographs.
