Transiency

03.07.21 – 05.09.21

CCA Andratx is delighted to present for the first time on Mallorca an exhibition by renowned Danish artist Lisa Rosenmeier. Following Rosenmeier’s residency at the CCA Studios in December 2019, Transciency is an innovative art exhibition, created especially for the CCA Kunsthalle, which represents a new departure on the artist’s ongoing artistic exploration of new transformation processes, for which she has found many of her motifs in the magical landscapes of Mallorca.

Transiency is a broadly orchestrated exhibition comprising a number of different series recorded and photographed at many different locations around the world and involving new media, through which the artist immediately appeals to the viewer’s experienced world and sensibility. Her sensuous photographic series works on a pictorial level and space. Rosenmeier has broadly used digital photography in her body of work and uses computer language as a space-expanding “mixer” - so-to-speak, her palette-. This palette has captured the colours and new impressions of reality from her many research trips, which are to be discovered by the viewer within the different layers in the works.

The exhibition is displayed as a day journey; from daylight motifs, the works move on past the twilight pictures and further into the night scenes. But the exhibition does not end within CCA’s exhibition walls. The visitor will be invited to fulfil the experience with a walk outside CCA were to experiment with the art telescope, surrounded by the breathtaking Serra de Tramuntana landscape. In this cutting-edge installation, the viewer will experience a double grip on reality with, on one hand, the close and distant mountain scenery, which they can experience from a number of angles and, on the other hand, ”zoom” into the big scene that surrounds us all, namely the cosmos from the telescope which Lisa Rosenmeier has facilitated.

”In the exhibition Transiency, Lisa Rosenmeier has drawn us into a fascinating artistic experiential space which will widen the orientations and perspectives of our daily lives. She brings us to a threshold of a vision capable of transcending the present condition, drawing on unforeseen priorities that can enable us to think and create in a new way.”  --- Else Marie Bukdahl
